0955 UTC 15070 kHz Cupid Radio, the Netherlands; absolutely strongest signal never heard from a Dutch pirate in my Turku QTH. Alternative rock songs and greetings to the listeners from every side of the world. That's was a great experience! Promised special QSL.

This has been a very radioactive period for me. I have been several times on the countryside, in the middle of nowhere, in a village called Uurainen for listening medium and short wave stations. I used to live there but nowadays I only visit my old home and listen during weeks or weekends which are free from the university studies. Finally I have aswell started organizing the recordings and numbering all the cassettes I have, and checking these recordings. I have also reported the stations which have been found on these recordings. I have around 75 hours of these recordings which means over sixty C-cassettes! Many of the cassettes are still under listening and checking but I still believe that one day I would have organized them all.

Besides of these activities, I have aswell organized the folders full of QSL's and documents from the stations since 2001, putted the bigger world map to the wall, behind the table of my radio equipment and putted nail in the every city where I have heard a station from and sent so called follow up reports to the stations which have not yet sent QSL or any document of listening. Especially I have ”fupped” the stations from countries from where I have no any QSL. Few of these stations have now reacted to my mails and letters very kindly and verified the reception. At the moment I have verified 123 countries to be heard!

Let's have a look at the loggings; stations are mostly heard in Uurainen, except loggings marked with L, Lassila in Satakunta region, T, Turku and U, Uusikaupunki both in Varsinais-Suomi region, which are heard during so-called DX-expeditions, weekends stayed with friends and DX! However, these DX-expeditions are just for fun. I never ever send reception reports if the station is not heard in my own QTH, with my own antenna and own receiver. But listening without reporting is fun also with borrowed equipment! Italic stations are tentatives, or the station identification/location is unclear.

This weekend I visited my old QTH in the countryside, in the middle of nowhere, Central Finland region. RX: Icom R71E with long wire of 25 mtrs in the forest, with ground and balun. Loggings from 5th to 6th February.

6376 kHz 10:20-10:35 HOL: tent Radio Continental, Noord-Nederland. Fading in and giving clear ID. Nice surprise, new station for me and the only heard 48-pirate during these horrible conditions. EDIT: not sure of this one, logged as Radio Dutchwing at this time(!)
9000 kHz 14:50-15:44 TWN(?): Sound of Hope Radio International. Interesting one. Playing nonstop chinese classical and at the top of the hour silence for 5 minutes, WRTH clandestine section solved this mystery easily. A jammer jamming for nothing organized by a Christian Church. WTF!?
